Breakfast, the most important meal of the day. But when it comes to waking up early, I prefer to have those 10 more minutes in bed instead of using that time to make myself some breakfast. So I end up with buying myself a greasy croissant on my way to school or work, not so healthy and filling… Sounds familiar to you? Let me help you (and myself) with these quick and healthy breakfast ideas!

Overnight oats

Make yourself some oatmeal with almond milk (or any milk you like) and put it in the fridge. I personally like it with lots of cinnamon on it. Grab your bowl out of the fridge the next morning and put some fruit, nuts or seeds on it, and your breakfast is ready to go!

Banana bread

Make a banana bread over the weekend so you can grab two slices of it every day of the week. Banana bread is easy to make, healthy and keeps your energy level high the whole morning. The only ingredients you’ll need are any kind of flour, honey, eggs, nuts and of course bananas. Put some peanut butter on a slice for an extra boost of protein!

Smoothies

Start off your day with a delicious smoothie with anything you would like. There are an endless variety of healthy breakfast smoothies to make. Blend some frozen fruit, a banana and some milk or yoghurt together and your smoothie is ready to go. I prefer some peanut butter in my smoothie for some extra protein.

Hardboiled egg

Not really a fan of a sweet breakie? Hardboiled eggs are healthy and fill you up nicely. Eat them on toast or bread or just as a snack on the go. You can even cook them the night before to save some time in the morning.
