1. Glastonbury festival 2016
With over 3,000 acts across more than 100 stages you can call this festival enormous. The full name of the festival is ‘Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts’. You can find all kind of different performances.
The 2016 line-up is not announced yet. But when you look at the line-up from past years, you’ll  see names as Foo Fighters, Kanye West, Florence and the Machine, Deadmau5 – basically anyone you’ll ever want to see.
Unfortunately, all 135,000 tickets for Glastonbury 2016 are already sold. But you can sign up for a waiting list, in case any tickets are canceled. Glastonbury 2016 will take place from 22nd-26th of June in England.

3. Rock Werchter 2016
Rock Werchter is a four days music festival at the Werchter Park in Belgium. Music’s finest can be seen and heard on the three stages:  Main stage, KluB C and The Barn. It is all about the music at this festival. So the focus here remains on the bands, so no theater shows, no film screenings or art galleries. But you get the best bands of all time, in combination with upcoming indie bands.  Rock Werchter is a frequent nominee for “Best Line-Up” at the annual European Festival Awards. For this year they already announced: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Disclosure, Editors, Rammstein, Ellie Goulding and many many more. You don’t want to miss this one!
Rock Werchter 2016 will take place from 30th-3rd of July.

4. Into the great wide open
It’s the smallest festival on this list. You can find this intimate festival on Vlieland. One of the small Dutch islands. Music is the centre of the festival, but the whole environment makes this festival really special. You can dance the whole night at the stages in the middle of the woods or chill at great acoustic sessions on the beach.
Next to the line-up with alternative pop music, you’ll find the side program. With art, movies, kids activities and a lot of space and nature to relax. So are you searching for a intimate festival feeling and the great wide open this summer? This is the right spot to be from the 1st till 4th of September.

5. MELT!
It began in 1997 as a small festival organised for rave lovers and techno enthusiasts. Now it is a major force on the international festival circuit with a combination of electro, hip hop and indie, mainstream and subculture.  Expect a flickering sea of lights and pulsating beats in Ferropolis: the city of iron. The stages are between coal mining diggers, making this location breathtaking. You can MELT! your heart from 15th-17th of July in Germany.
