The Van Gogh Museum is one of the highlights of the Dutch Art world. From all over the world people are visiting the museum to see the masterpieces of Vincent van Gogh. In my opinion EVERY Dutch citizen should visit this museum at least once in his or her life to see this beautiful and famous Dutch heritage. One of the best moments to do so is on Friday nights when the Museum is offering a weekly special program with music, performances, drinks, tours and an opening time till 22 pm!
Last Friday, during Amsterdam Fashion Week, the Friday Nights at the Van Gogh had a very fashionable twist with a workshop by fashion designer Borre Akkersdijk and Mattijs van Bergen showing his collection in the museum. The collection of Mattijs was inspired by the work of Van Gogh and showing the clothes in front of the beautiful paintings was just a brilliant move! The clothes and the paintings really complimented each other. Next Friday there will be another fun program to make a visit at the Van Gogh museum just a little more special. Follow the facebookpage of Friday Nights or check the website of the Van Gogh Museum to see whats up!
