There are so many beautiful, special, delicious, adventurous places in the world. But what are the cities, restaurants, museums, coffee bars, shops, etc., etc., where you could bump into a Stijlmeisje? In ‘Hotspots‘ we show you the places we think are worth visiting! This week: Sweet Cup.
Sweet Cup is a little cafe in the Lange Leidsedwarsstraat in Amsterdam. The location is not known for its adorable places to lunch or nice pop-up stores, but this little building is definitely worth a visit. When you enter Sweet Cup it feels like walking into someone’s cozy living room.
The small building only has place for maybe eight or nine people, but the coffee is more than great. The owner of Sweet Cup is a very passionate coffee brewer who will explain to you in detail where the coffee and its delicate taste comes from. And he is right, this coffee tastes very special. At this coffee shop they are roasting their own beans, serving tasty espressos, delicious flat whites and all kinds of pastries.
They’re open from 7 a.m. in the morning and they offer free wifi, so it’s perfect to start your workday. Pop by Sweet Cup for a artfully brewed cup of coffee, friendly service and the cutest dog you’ll ever meet: Sjefke.
