It sounds maybe a bit weird to write something about Dutch design label Wintervacht when it’s (almost) summer. The two designers of Wintervacht restore the value of old woolen blankets (those kind of blankets you used to sleep under back in the days), by turning them into durable wintertime coats. Every piece they create is therefore unique and handmade.
But hey, it’s never too early to buy a good winter coat. Plus in the end, summernights in the Netherlands are not that warm at all.. But Wintervacht has now also more in store! The newest Wintervacht Spring collection is not made form woolen blankets, but entirely of repurposed materials. More specific: cotton curtains. The Wintervacht-designers incorporated recycled bits from cotton curtains into two-piece suits.
What’s also nice about the collections of Wintervacht is that it’s also a proof that interior spaces are often reflective of fashion. A Wintervacht-item will certainly gain the attention of onlookers. That’s for sure!
