I rarely write about things concerning beauty. The one and only reason for that is because I’m quite a layman when it comes to make up and cosmetics… Why spend a lot of money on makeup if one looks far more beautiful without it? It’s not that I’m a proclaimer of the ‘wear-no-makeup-movement’ or something, but I just like a natural look. What I do like is complementing a natural look with a swell ‘odeur’. You have your personal perfume with you the whole day or evening; choosing the right perfume is therefore very important. So, if I find a new fragrance which I fall in love with, that’s kind of a blissful moment for me…
Recently I discovered a perfume as mentioned again; a new (at least to me) fragrance called Poivre Piquant by L’Artisan Parfumeur. Because I like the perfume’s branding (beautiful illustrations!), L’Artisan Parfumeur is quite a niche brand which is not that well known yet and because of the story behind the Poivre Piquant fragrance I wanted to share this ‘beauty’-find with you.
Poivre Piquant is inspired by the Kama Sutra, the most famous of all Sanskrit treaties on love. Burning pepper and sweet sugar are blended in the spirit of the Indian wedding tradition. Or how L’Artisan Parfumeur it describes so lyrical on their website:
“sugar placed on the bride’s veil to translate the sweetness of life, pepper for the sparkling joy, and sensuality to come.”
Wanna put something on you Christmas-wishlist already or just wanna spice up your daily routine (;-) )? Than this smell is quite a good choice. And whats nice, till Friday you can buy it for a nice price on vente-privee.
