Tested: Winter Protection Creme - Stijlmeisje

Winter is coming with everything with it, including dry skin. Well… no thanks. For the cold days, you will need something that has a thicker texture. But with so many products in the shops, it’s hard to choose. To give you some guidance, I tested the new Nutri Cold Protection and the Rich Hand Balm of Sans Soucis.

The two products are developed to protect you for dry winter skin. But do they really help? In the past few weeks, I tried and tested both of them. Here are my pros and cons.

Nutri Cold Protection

Tested: Winter Protection Creme - Stijlmeisje
Let’s start with the face crème. The Nutri Cold Protection is a rich crème with abricot kernal oil and algae extract. It provides you with 24-hour care.

As you can see on the picture, the crème is white. I was a little bit concerned about that, because of my dark skin. But fortunately it blends in perfectly. You don’t need much, though it doesn’t go on that smooth as a crème on water base.

And I have to say: my skin felt really soft and it lasted all day. Even when it was raining, it didn’t came off, nor did it let white stains behind.

Pros
– it lasts all day
– thick texture
– no white stains
– smells natural

Cons
– none

PriceThe Nutri Cold Protection costs €24,95.

Rich Hand Balm

Tested: Winter Protection Creme - Stijlmeisje
Hands need love too. That’s why Sans Soucis developed the Rich hand balm. With marigold extract that calms and takes care of your hands.

The texture reminds me of the face crème. The color is not the same. It’s between yellow and brown. The scent is a little too strong to be natural. But it is still pleasant. My hands felt soft, but it was a little too slippery for me.

Pros
– The smell
– Thick texture

Cons
– Too slippery

Price: The rich hand balm costs €8.25.

In general the products are great for the winter. You don’t have to worry about dry skin. My favorite is the face crème. Simply because I’m not someone who uses hand balms on a regular basis. I don’t like the feeling on my hands.
